Yep. I would also be dead in cave man times. I mean...even medical advancements...how many things that could and did kill people off back in the day (still does in extreme cases but) that are controlled by medication nowadays? Asthma, diabetes, blood pressure/heart issues...He's looking very GQ now.
Tom must have had a lot of older pennies in there. The new shiny ones are lighter, not as much copper in them as the old pennies. In fact... there is more than one cent worth of copper. They cost more to make than they are worth.

People don't have much in the way of selective pressures any more. Modern medicine and technology allow us to survive with all sorts of undesirable problems. Like my glasses... I would never have survived in a primitive setting with my poor eyes. Something would have jumped out and eaten me before I reached breeding age, so the bad eyesight genes would not have been passed on. It's kind of a crap shoot with humans now.
And yes. My nugget is awesome. She’s still laying consistently. Her and Buffy are the only ones laying right now...though Sam likes to add in an egg to keep us on our toes every now and then too.
