6 hrs later it occurs to me and I ask. why didnt you check on me after I went quiet then ? He giggles and says, Nothing I could do by then. 
THEN he felt bad and lied to me ( I think) and said he peeked at me around the corner but I didnt see him.
I thought it was kind of cool and exciting. Saw a bunch of things I had never seen before and learned a lot. The teacher reacted really well. Was bummed when she made us line up and go wait outside. Then the ambulance arrived! It is a very vivid memory and Todd was fine. He lived down the road from me so we rode the bus together. In 5th grade, when the classes got to take skating lessons, we even held hands skating around (gloves ON, of course!) haha. We got along pretty well, but he moved away.
