Idk what is worse, losing them fast or losing them slow. My Standard Poodle had a cancerous growth. I stayed with her while they gave her the lethal injection. Cried my eyes out. She was a fun dog!

I had to do that w/ Roberts therapy cat. He couldnt.

Fast was good for me. There was no agonizing over when was the right time. I still cried a lot too, but it was so obviously the best thing for her. She never had to leave her bed... we carried her to the car on it and she stayed on it at the vet's on a rolling cart. I never left her, petting her ears and she looked at me the whole time, then she just drifted off. Vet said she wouldn't have lasted through another night.

Sometimes it is the right thing to do for their comfort. I hate when people drag it out and the animal suffers.

No, I have Scooter. He is my little furry shadow. He stinks, needs a trim and his nails are way too long. If I can't take care of him properly, I certainly don't need another to not take care of. Grooming him just destroys my back.

I groom small animals upside down in my lap. Works for me.

I understand that. New symptoms or worsening I guess I should say I notice every day now. Slightly bending to tye the garbage bag up today. I couldnt do it. Immediate pain.
