uffda, I keep mine in a not working but still sealing chest freezer. Works great for me. The one that I keep layer in holds 900 pounds.

I thought of that, but don't know where i would put a freezer.

who can afford 900 lbs of feed ?

just picked up 22 bags of layer (50# each bag) on Tuesday. They were having a special buy 10 and get one free. for about $231.00 and then loaded it into the truck there for me.

I dont think it would matter . It could stay outside w/ a lock

if the seal is good you could store it outside and stick a cement brick on top I would think.

IT is mouse and bug proof at least so it has been for me, going on 7 or 8 years.

There were a lot of people coming out of TSC with big loads of feed while i was there the other day. Mostly women, loading it themselves. I made the guy put mine in the cart and also had someone load it in the car.

it was 1100 pounds of layer. Should last a couple/three months now that I have oats again.
