It came in a pot , but no berries yet. I put it in the ground. Bought it at Lowes i think.I will, thanks. I am having a hard time finding mulberry bush. directs me to the kids song. LOL I did find where a brand new one is in the works. Its able to be grown in a pot and berries are tiny ?
you need a special container ?I used to keep mine in bran i bought at a bulk food place. I put in thin slices of apple for moisture. Some folks use potato but that stinks if it turns. The meal worms turn into pupae, and after that they turn into black beetles. The beetles lay eggs, and you get more meal worms.
Nope, you just need something they can't climb out of, like a plastic shoe box or bin.you need a special container ?
w/ air holes I imagine . tiny ones so they cant climb out.Nope, you just need something they can't climb out of, like a plastic shoe box or bin.
The birds here ate all the berries off our dogwood tree as soon as they got ripe.As much as I fussed about the mulberry trees in Mi. (they were everywhere) I would like to have one here for the birds. There are none !
You don't really need the top unless you have a cat. The meal can get moldy if it is too damp. You could even use an old fish tank.w/ air holes I imagine . tiny ones so they cant climb out.
