Alley, How did you come to picking "your" breed so easy ? I still dont know. You have a very pretty flock and I love the red ones. I have never seen any that color here.

I always wanted silkies. If I could have found them when I got chickens again I would’ve had them from the beginning instead of big hens.
I have other breeds and mixes that I’m going to play around with genetics with to tweak a few things to my liking. But I just like a variety mainly.

I got some pretty cool feathers today that I’ve started saving for jewelry.

This is really good for making dressings and assorted mayonnaise. It incorporates air into oil well...

that’s what I’m going to try to do. You need some sort of metal clasp(crimp beads and a eye hook) I think to hold the feathers in place. Then add the earring hook.

Anyone make dressing like this?

He grew up making dressing, southern-style, no actual recipe. Half biscuits and half cornbread, chopped hardboiled eggs, plus turkey broth and a bunch of seasoning, especially lots of sage.
