Granny's gone and done it again

Why are you doing it tomorrow?

Started when DH and I were newlyweds, mostly because we’re both impatient. Now it’s weirdly practical. Whenever the tree is up and the presents are wrapped, any day is fair game for Christmas. One year was November 27th, but usually we wait until the 17th or so. This is the closest to real Christmas Day that we’ve ever made it. The short answer is we’re the traveling family, so it’s nice for the kids to open their presents and play a few days before we travel to someone else’s house. That way we get to have our traditions without messing up someone else’s.

The long answer is that Christmas is a season, and we feel welcome to celebrate our love for each other at any time we decide. There’s no biblical proof that Jesus was born on any particular day, the date was chosen as part of the church calendar. Or maybe I’m wrong, sometimes I get my wires crossed. Regardless of that, it fits my family to do it this way, at least for now. Maybe one day we’ll straighten up. Or not.

I do think it takes a lot of the stress off, because I need my shopping done in November. Usually I’m not fighting crowds, but I got behind on it all this year.

My bone density test results are MIA. Drs office is sending out feelers for them. Tom got his results 8 days ago.
So now that low bone density has been confirmed for you, is there anything they can do about it?

There have been enough fires out that way W4W, you do NOT need a chimney fire!!!!!!!
It's been drizzling... maybe a fire would be a faster way to clean the stovepipe!

Wishing must be in hermit mode. Comes out after everyone is in bed.
I'm always in hermit mode... just fake it better some days. :D I worked all day... never sat down for fear of falling asleep. After dinner, hubs and I went out to the shops. Got a shirt for my dad. Home at 10, I'm caught up, and I am tired! Got twitchy eye too. ick.
So will say goodnight to all.

... or maybe one more post to show you something really cool we saw last night.
Got to switch to the phone to do it...

#1 got home from work after dark last night, and came in all excited because there was something "really weird" in the sky! Last time he said that it was the SpaceXrocket. Of course we all piled out to see...

Turns out it was the trail from a meteor. The news showed several different views from all over the Bay Area, and it showed the meteor traveling in a cork screw pattern. From our view, it looked like a lasso.
Anyway, kind of cool. Glad he is observant!
