Can't speak for all men, but they are more inclined to remarry after losing a spouse, and sometimes quite soon after. Shouldn't be seen as a betrayal or anything. They just really like being married. It's more like they are honoring the wife. Tom just wants you to do what he would do, and he wants you happy and taken care of. Not weird at all. He's a good guy.

The MOWER guy? He fixed your mower. I spent a half hour waiting in the car while you were in his shop flirting arranging for him to come get the mower on his trailer. He spent a lot of time telling you how how much he missed his wife, who passed recently. He talked a lot about missing having someone around. Tom had to put on the Alpha dog act when he met him!
