tep-mom died 11.5 years ago. Dad still considers himself married, can't imagine being married to anyone else.

My mom passed 12 yrs ago, and my dad didn't remarry either. He said he couldn't stand watching another person die and wasn't taking any chances. He had purposely married someone younger so he would go first, but his plan didn't work out. He's very self sufficient, always has been, so it's not been a difficult adjustment from a practical sense.

that and getting Abby's feet trimmed is ALL I got accomplished as Rod spent all day in town Doctoring , I am NOT AMUSED as he knew there was chit to get done today.

I did Scooter's feet today too! Long overdue! He can go in stealth mode now. No clacking on the kitchen floor.
