Granny's gone and done it again

I do not understand all these different days s at school now, crazy hair day, Pj day. Glad It wasn’t around when My daughter was in school. I could barely do the essential things much less a theme for the day.

I remember dressing up for spirit week as a kid, but it was like “crazy socks” or “hat day.” These are getting really weird and hard to do. I wish they would send home explanation sheets.

What is the purpose? I can see some kids not having a parent to help them do all that work. I worked full time when my kid was in school. I could barely get the essentials done. Does it promote something?

It’s the week leading up to homecoming. Bubba decided to just wear his uniform all week. As a kid I did my costumes myself.

Some schools do red ribbon week and they dress up for that, too.

Good thing we didn't have that. Never had any crazy socks and never owned a hat until I moved to Vermont. Never have liked hats.

No Granny it will keep you up
That has been suggested a few times. Hits her eyes and bounces off. Then she is up most of the night.

I didnt have a nap. Im going on 2 hrs sleep last night.
My dear beloved son says to me. Mom, its 4 am you need to go to bed. I said hey, Im the mommy here ! He said ya, but your getting senile and I have to take care of you. :hmm So I went to bed. :gig
Way to go Robert!

Good Morning, is everyone sleeping in today? I just found a hatchery an hour away from me that sells hatching eggs for seven dollars a dozen! The only problem is, they won't let you pick the breeds. You get what they give you. I might go get two or three dozen just to get rid of my hatching fever. I can always put them on CL for a couple dollars a chick:idunno
Should have better hatching luck since you can drive them home, no trauma. It will be interesting to see what breeds you get, and if you even know what some of them are for several weeks! Do they even tell you what breeds they are giving you or is it just "here are 3 dozen eggs"?

I haven't e-mailed them back yet to find out. Can only pick up on Tuesdays by appointment, so my guess would be it's their extras. I just wouldn't want to end up with a bunch of meat chickens, I don't know how well those would sell around here. I guess I could list them as "day old surprise chicks". I am looking to re-do an old barn/shed that is sitting empty for my little flock of buff orpingtons that I want to have by this spring. I just like hatching, and thought it would give me something to do during this crappy weather.
