Granny's gone and done it again

I am reminded how little...not empathy but lack of ability to caregive my hubs has. I noticed this halfway through shoveling out the coop. (Still half shoveled out) im getting the soaking tub prepped and crunching up tums (meanwhile fed enjoys hiding under trucks) hubs is too busy working on his truck and going to get welding gas. When I text him and say we should stop by tractor supply and pick up a cheap wire crate he laments that he “left the good hatchet in the camper” dude. Don’t you even want to try? My thinking is give her a chance if she’s not feeling better by tomorrow yes. We can put her down. She’s an older girl. But...come on.

Other anger. Which camper did you leave it in? If you left it in the one you sold...seriously. I cleared out the inside. If you left it in the one that’s been parked in the desert for years WHY.

But yes. I am upset.[/QUOTE

I hope she gets better.

I get busy, just finish this one more thing. Oh, I need to do that, won't take long. And then it is 3 PM :lau Especially when I'm outside in warmer weather. Not as bad in the winter when I'm mostly in the house. I can get migraines if I don't eat.

Me too I have mild narcolepsy. Brain sits in a fog thinking it wants to be asleep.

Do they eat young burdock plants too? I might need a couple of yaks.

Figure it this way. There is fog and the temp is just above freezing. Temp drops to below freezing, the fog freezes.

they seem to very much 'user/land" friendly compared to cattle , sheep and goats. Wide square teeth on bottom front .

And now he’s getting salty cause I didn’t handle the insurance guy right. I should have demanded our seam cracks were from the damage to the drop.

I told him then he should have dealt with it. God forbid he adult. Oh well. At least I got him to help me bring the brooder up so red will be sleeping in the garage tonight. If she’s showing improvement tomorrow, awesome. If not....I hate to say it but...she’s almost four...and she’s a production breed.

that's a really good age for a hybred

Well. She’s in the garage. Heat lamp is on but turned way down to about 25%. I’m not holding much hope. But. C’est la vie. She’ll be my first chicken loss that isn’t predator related...

Hubs tried to backtrack that his hatchet comment was directed at the Roos and he didn’t realize something was wrong with red. Uh huh. Dig up. Well. At least I managed to get the rest of the wet litter scooped out of the coop, and sprinkled down a very light layer of pine flakes. Will scoop those up tomorrow am to give the floor some time to dry out. Hmmm. Idea for new coop. If I do it raised off the ground but just a few inches...have it just be the frame/studs so air can still move through and frame that off with hardware cloth to keep the vermin out....hmmm. Ideas.
