It’s...seven I want to say. It’s an absolute pain in the patoot maintenance wise. Luckily I’ve only had to fish one fish out of it *knock on wood* but. Solid glass sealed on lid with only a tiny hole for access? Gah. Good luck with the substrate sucker. I want to get a 20 gal again so I can get some fish that I want. (Hubs vetoed all my fish - at at that point it was just easier to go with what he wanted than say dang it Hub’s I want guppies or neon tetras or well. Gouramis wouldn’t do well in such a tiny tank but.)

If I had the light I would make the lids from Plexiglas.

They have led lights at Walmart for them now. I was thinking about getting a small one for under the topper.

7? that’s so small. And sounds inconvenient. Walmart has a 20 Gallon kit but doesn’t include a stand.

So, yesterday, in the torture chamber making Robert some soup/heating up from a can. WE were having tuna sandwich (told you about the bone) and I opened the microwave to stir the cream of something . Just about the time I started stirring Nugget decided he HAD to have whatever that wonderful smell was (can tuna) in the garbage. The can is right behind me , I was stirring , BAM !! Can comes down on my feet . I screamed, spoon went flying, microwave is coated in soup. All dogs raising cain. After my heart settled and my breath came back I tried to clean the microwave (its very tall) and Robert cleaned the garbage up. Best part ? Robert said the soup (the soup he always eats) tasted nasty. It went down the toilet.
My house is a zoo.

His sense of taste may be off due to his high blood sugar. Did you tell him he can lose limbs and go blind if he doesn't control his sugar intake?

Lids cost so much. I still never got one for mine. I have a 29 outside and my 20? long in the house.

I like the 2 piece glass lids.

Don’t mind mess. So what I was thinking of doing at first was setting up a “coffee/tea cabinet” where peach’s blanket is. (Don’t worry. Out of the frame of this picture she has two actual beds...)

And I figured out this thing actually fits!!

But then I thought about getting a new fish tank, moving THAT there and just using the cabinet the fish tank is on as a “tea cabinet” and just have the mugs and coffee/tea stuff below. I’ve used this thing as a fish tank cabinet before. But I may have to see how thrashed the surface is from having fish tanks on it a while...this piece is old ikea after all.

Beside the couch I’m limited to about 27.5-28” so. Squishy!

Oh. The dislikeable fish tank is 8.5” high, 10” deep and 17” long.
