Yesterday was day seven on my chicken eggs. The quick candling peeks have all been great, but I can’t see into the dark eggs. I’m going to candle and toss on day 14. I’ve only had one to toss so far, because it was cracked.

I spent the afternoon reading up on beehives. I think that will be our next addition to the camp farm/garden program. I have a few good places to put them.

Hey y'all sorry for bothering yall this late but can I ask a question? I was walking through the hallway of our house and I have a hen in my room for the time being and she came out of the room and my bantam rooster saw here and went straight for her and he got on here well I had the broom in my hand and it slipped and hit him while he was on her well the hen moved and he got off of here and flopping around and acting like he had a seizure and I tried to same him the best I could but I took him in the room that my mom was in and he was turning blue in the face but here's my question could've he died because he was having a seizure or died because I hit him with the broom I didn't hit him in the right place for him to die and I didn't mean to hit him I was going to get him off of here and when he was flopping around he had his eyes open

Where did you hit him? It sounds like it was just an unfortunate accident - roos are tougher than you’d think - hubs punted my Bucky into the wall of the coop today (grr - but I understand why he did)

It could have been a crazy coincidence in timing.
