Granny's gone and done it again

View attachment 1668874 When I first started out I had all brown layers. I wanted EEs so badly. Now I have so many blue and green eggs!!!!!!
I really love my EEs personalities and adore my Brahma.

Here is a photo of my rooster! We call him King Bean. His beard is so royal looking!!!!!
haha! What a DUDE! He has the Polish shape with the EE heft. Looks like he's been working out at the gym with a headband on. Lots of professional sports players are wearing big beards like that. King Bean fits right in!

You know I cant wait til after to find out about the after ! I need a week in advance .
Well then, Dr Wishing says you should plan on locking him in the bathroom with all the razors put away!

Thanks Granny! I never used to keep any of my cockerels......Now I cant imagine my flock without a rooster!
You are going to get a lot more green layers from him!
I have heard good things about Brahmas... that they are sweet. Not crazy about feathered legs around here (too many mites), but maybe some day...

I haven't been on much lately either. Glad you are okay. Is it still raining there? Is the Polar Vortex gone?
Raining on and off. We had snow flurries yesterday morning around 11. We’re supposed to have freezing temps this week. Still flooded, was 29F today. So the “puddles” are frozen.

What does your flock consist of, @Wishing4Wings ?
I have a mob of 13 large layers, half of which don't lay much any more. Buff Orp, Welsummer, EE (hatchery girls, 7 yrs old), 2 Ameraucanas (6 yrs from a breeder), Cuckoo Orp and Jubilee Orp project (5 yrs old from a breeder), blue Wyandotte and another EE (4 yrs hatchery), 2 CCL and an Australorp (2 yrs old).
Then I have a bantam coop with 5 little Serama hens and and a rooster who weighs about 1 pound. A hawk has moved onto the property, and they have to stay locked up now, so I will not get more or let them hatch eggs. They want to be outside so badly, and I feel bad for them. :(
