I dont know if Toms blood is low again or the dementia or what. He is trying to bring my fridge bator in the house because it holds more eggs but will get the stryo if I like it better. He does NOT understand after me standing there and telling him that I am not able and have no wish to hatch. 3xs I said it and he hears something totally different . I dont know what to do. Been putting him off about it for a while now. 2 mins later he asked When are we gonna get all these eggs started ? Might as well put them all in. No Tom, I cant take care of them. Do you understand ? It hurts me to go take care of the chickens now. We dont need more.

Maybe you should sell the bators.

I dont remember if anything ever hatched in the fridge. He wants me going to the swaps. He likes the $$ . I was wondering if I let him bring that in and maybe give the eggs a good shake and go thru the motions of hatching if he would be satisfied . Seems like a lot of work and deception.

Most places don't have pensions anymore, lucky to even had a 401K. The big company I worked for converted from defined pensions YEARS ago to a cash balance plan for a couple of years then to 401K. People my age are the last to get a defined pension from that company.

I have 2. Somewhat flighty and NOT the layers I expected them to be. Nearly 2 years old now. One just laid her second egg for the year (the first was a month ago) and the other hasn't laid since Sept 9th. In the past, the slowest to lay after moult were only out 3 months. Even 3 of my 4 nearly 7 year old hens are laying now.

Need to check my heat tolerances and sizes for most of these guys - gotta keep em big so the hawks dont get em.

Then don't get ELs they are SMALL birds when full grown.
