Granny's gone and done it again

“Fat red” who has had oddness on with her a while and who was isolated a while a month or two ago has the water belly back with a vengeance. She’s a four year old red sexlink who hasn’t laid in a year or more...I’m not taking extrordinary measures to extend her life, callous as that may sound. She’s still eating and pooping and roosting so I’m just keeping an eye on her. She doesn’t seem ready to go yet - so I’m just letting her live her best chicken life until her time comes. Could be chicken cancer, could be something else age related.

Had a friend ask to “borrow” Bucky so she can have chicks. Told her absolutely not - with all my losses lately I’m keeping my flock CLOSED. I’m 95% sure my issues aren’t mericks and 99.9% sure they’re not vnd but in case it is anything contagious...i’d rather play it safe.

Farm work swallowed me. I have been too exhausted to get online much. DId more pallet fence. Had a neighbor bring me a load of pallets. Built a new rabbit hut. Got some other things done. Took a fence post puller to the head. Stupid thing slipped off the post and somehow I got it in the head.
Been getting up at 4 or 5 am working until 6 or 7 at night. Coming into the house eating, shower and crash in bed. Not sure how many days I spent doing that. Yesterday I ran to get hay and other essentials to get us through.
Today I am in bed resting and hoping nobody shows up, cause moving hurts. So tired and sore. The one child keeps ordering me into a hot tub to soak. He is a bossy thing that is for sure. Not a clue where he gets it from. lol

The rabbit hut. Now to go make the other 10 billion I need and 5 or 6 for quail

This headache aint ever gonna leave me. I took a short nap. half hr maybe then Robert carried all the squash out and fed it to the chickens . They liked it. Matter fact, they devoured it quickly. I hope the seeds dont hurt them. They were pretty big. !st time tolbunt roo in serama coop tried to show me some aggression. I ignored it . He was very hungry and was trying to eat from my dishes as I was trying to put some in his food bolw.
