Granny's gone and done it again

I have a natural spring bubbling up on my land but it feeds the neighbors pond.
My good neighbors also have a spring, and it feeds a small pond on our property. They are good neighbors, but probably only because when we had our land surveyed, the spring was on their side. :lau JK.

LOL Cracking me up. Too fake but with that being said, I wish I had a lil hidey hole like that.
What's fake?

I cant imagine how he got all that blue water out of that mud hole.
You wouldnt like that in your back yard Wishing ?

I noticed by the end it got real muddy with him getting in and out. Maybe the mud will choke out the leeches...

It is impressive. I'm also jealous that they have water randomly running in places that they can tap into at any time.

Or maybe not, that would rapidly decline the amount of usable space on my property.
haha, in California it would take about 12 different permits to make that, but you'd get fined for not having a fence around it.

Alright. Guess I’m as caught up as I’ll be tonight and should hit the hay. Recycling/green waste out at least. AND I got hubs to get me a cute countertop compost bin (so I throw compost in it and take it out to the pile when it’s full or every few days. Cool thing - my compost pile right now is looking awesome. Probably all the rain we had helped break stuff down. It’s no Alberta soil black as my heart but for California...it’s not bad.

pretty sure the whole video was fake. Carving into rock w/ a stick, blue water, same bird over and over, not enough clay to hold water......
I don't know... pool guy had 2 different tools, not just sticks. I didn't see if he added anything to the clay. If he put ash or lime in it, it might harden into concrete. Ancient Romans new how to make cement that could harden under water. I figure he had some help, but in theory everything he did could be done by one person.

When the boys were in 6th grade, they had a primitive studies person come and teach them how things were dome by the natives in CA. It was very cool. They even made fire! She said very few classes were able to do it, but both my boys did it. Couple of little pyros! :D It was really amazing to see. If you know your stuff... the proper plants to use, it's not hard to make cordage and other things. This woman even had a deerskin on that she tanned herself.

That wasn't solid rock either, not granite or anything close. That's probably in the Philippines. Volcanic rock... it looked sedimentary, very crumbly.
