Granny's gone and done it again

Gorgeous weather here. I’ve overbooked myself this weekend but I think I’ve pulled in enough help. I’m doing interviews and work projects, plus a board meeting.

I painted an invitation to the bishop for our 50-year celebration in May.

I need to get my plants in the ground but it just seems so secondary right now.

My half-dead clearance perennials are blooming! Alpine wallflower and verbena.

Josie and Chuck helping me nap yesterday.

Well we live in the country & my garden can't be seen from the road, neither can neighbor's garden.

Ooh. I may need to rent a hardcore tiller if I put a garden bed in. Though I also need to dig it out and barrier it so the gophers and bunnies don’t eat ALL THE THINGS. Sigh.

I have tunnels in the garden. Mice or Voles i guess.

I dug up another wagon full of bunny poo. So that should do it for the first bed. I have a big pack of peas to plant, hoping to get to eat some.

That's the way mine was. Numerous blooms on each stalk which usually breaks over because of too much weight, especially if it rains. Probably should be staked

Yep. I think some might send up 2. But they can come up next year depending on your zone.

I’m zone 9a, I think they’ll come back. I’m trying to decide what else to plant in the beds with them.
