Yep, they get top heavy. The blooms open from the bottom of the stalk so you get a long season.That's the way mine was. Numerous blooms on each stalk which usually breaks over because of too much weight, especially if it rains. Probably should be staked
You will need to pull them and put in a cool place for some weeks before replanting. My grandmother's favorite flower. They lived near San Diego and she put her's in the fridge.I’m zone 9a, I think they’ll come back. I’m trying to decide what else to plant in the beds with them.
