Granny's gone and done it again

evening/morning or something.

DAY from HELL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

. Over 6 hours dealing with a CRAZY,TORKED OFF, and gimped up momma. And Sunny isn't people friendly to start with. $112.00 latter she got 3 shots and vet checked to make sure afterbirth had been delivered and there wasn't anything else inside her. VEt say's she probably pinched some nerves while giving birth and she should recover. :fl

Also there is a new resident in the burn pit. :hit:he Rod now knows to call me ASAP if he see's something "off" when a cow is calving regardless of what DUMB ASK Robert says/tells him. :barnie:mad::mad::mad::mad::rant:rant:rant:rant I do have a pic of what probably would have been my new herd bull. :hit Either a native or imperial trim with a nice white patch on forehead, white socks on both hind feet and white toes on at least one front foot. Looks like he strangled/suffocated during the birth process. Evidently Rod noticed one front leg and head out yesterday late afternoon early evening. NO phone call until about mid-morning to even let me know.:barnie:rant:rant:rant:rant With fast and PROPER action (vet didn't get to see her until about 5 pm this evening.) the little mite might of had a chance.

Oh and I didn't get to services today either.
So sorry for your loss, Twist. Fire that guy, he is useless.

The top part of the tree fell while we were gone. Glad no one lived in that coop. The run was obliterated. There’s a small hole in the roof.

I REMEMBER THE JESSE BOOKS!!!

I’ve honestly been debating getting my friends kid the Misty series at some point. Though she’s nearing four...so...not yet. And all those darned east coast place names. I know I jumbled and mangled the names in my head - why I always just read em to myself haha.

she was one of the 2 year olds that I traded the 4 bulls for.
This is Sunny she is the Royal (black & white) in the front. Day after she got to my place. The Golden Trim behind (Nugget) is her 1/2 sister and also 2 and preggers.

NEW plan for the herd because of both Sunny and then Sheila last year.

Going to TRY and separate all the pg cows from the main herd and TRY to keep them in the middle tit and rodeo grounds. AND put Porter , Tibbits, Granola (open) and Janet (open) and then Sunny back into the big pasture sometime next week. Then if a cow "needs" assistance or the vet we are close to the alleyway and squeeze chute and will me MUCH easier to keep an eye on them. New Mommas and calves will be added back to the big pasture about a week after birth.

I realize I should have done this sooner BUT didn't pg the girls last year. AND "supposedly" yaks aren't supposed to have calving issues. Also I thought that fresh/new green grass would be beneficial to expectant mothers RATHER then hay.

This year I actually have left over hay so that's not a problem.
