Bucky is in the time out coop. Girls have the big coop to themselves and hubs took off buffy’s Saddle so she can preen and dustbathe properly.

He apparently was being a jerk standing on my remaining red and ripping her feathers out...it’s funny. He doesn’t show the absolute donkey hole around me but around hubs...

...I don’t think he realizes hubs would be happiest without a roo.

In my experience, domestic animals know the difference between men and women and behave accordingly. I've seen it for sure in horses and dogs, and to a lesser extent in cows and chickens. Bucky might see your hubs as a rival, and is showing his dominance over the hen in front of him. But then maybe Bucky would do that with any new person, because like The Force, The Hormones are strong with him. Happy spring!

I’m debating now if I want to add the EEs I bought. Maybe a few. I really like the color I have now.

Awhile. Doesn’t help he’s young. I feel like you need more hens for a young roo. And even some that are super “active” need more hens.
Kramer turned a year on the 1st and only in March did he start jumping the girls. 2 are starting to get bare around the tails.
