From what I remember, the tendon had partly come away from your heel bone (or the bone disintegrated). Tendons will not reattach themselves to bone, but they can heal from tearing and having fibers pull apart.

You can't get electrocuted from a tens device unless you hook it up to a car battery!

Was talking to a lady about her old dog when I had Scooter in at the vet. Xrays on her dog showed he had ruptured a disk in his back, he couldn't walk, her vet said he needed surgery. After research, instead she went to a lady that does acupuncture on animals. Dog WALKED out of the first session with her! They went back for a few more sessions, and the dog is in good shape (other than the throwing up, which is why he was at the vet that morning). I have talked to other people that have had acupuncture themselves, and swear by it working. Might be an option for you.

My heal tendon was torn and stretched and reattached to the heal bone but the bone itself had crumbled. Because he used anchors there is no way to repair it. My foot flopped . If they dont reattach does that mean I will always have pain in my elbow like my foot ?
I doubt my insurance would pay for acupuncture. I could find out !

My heal tendon was torn and stretched and reattached to the heal bone but the bone itself had crumbled. Because he used anchors there is no way to repair it. My foot flopped . If they dont reattach does that mean I will always have pain in my elbow like my foot ?

Hubs snapped his Achilles. It didn't hurt much at all after the initial snap, but he couldn't walk... couldn't point his toe or push off to walk. He had surgery to repair it and had to wear the boot for weeks and weeks, don't put weight in it, etc. Hurt like hell for a long time after the surgery, but years later, it's all good now.

If your Achilles was completely unattached, you wouldn't be able to point your toe. Sounds like it is partly attached, and causing you pain, maybe because it's a big job to work that calf muscle, and all the pressure is concentrated in a smaller area on your heel and it hurts!

the surgery was just after mom passed. 3? 4? yrs ago. dont remember but I ripped it picking her up off the floor. I was like that for a few months afterwards. I am not sure exactly what the problem is except he didnt take the spurs off he was supposed to and his words were Its a failed surgery. It also became infected and popped a stitch. I just know it hurts.

He also said I would be in a wheelchair soon because this wouldnt last. Good thing I am prone to scar tissue cause I think thats what is holding me together right now.
I bought some marans at Orchlins way back and the receipt said moron.

Maybe another surgeon could examine and see if there is a pain relief option. Can they snip a nerve or something. Do they even do that any more? You'd lose all the feeling in your foot, but maybe it would be better than the pain.
Tens unit is supposed to be good. Try that first.
