No, they came over Wednesday and she wasn’t up for another long drive. She’s not doing well either.

Oh boy. It's tough when these problems start. Too bad your grandma isn't closer.

I never wanted to be the person who put work first. It’s all just very complicated. The river is coming up fast and we might not be able to pass the road after today. We only have one vehicle, and DH had plans for going up there tonight to get rid of the old truck that has been parked in his buddy’s driveway for a year and a half. The next line of rain is supposed to hit in a few hours.

You don't put your work before family that I've ever seen. Your work and family life are linked so closely anyway. You can't go if there is bad weather. The honest truth is there is nothing you can do for your grandma that isn't already being done, and your kids need their mom, so not worth any risk. Your dad is the one who will have a hard time (it's his mom ), but you can support him over the phone for now. I think granny already said it, but this is going to be a long haul with Donnie and a broken hip... months of healing. She's normally in a care facility? Do they have skilled nursing? After the surgery, she will probably need to go to a skilled nursing place. She will not be walking for awhile, and will need physical therapy in a month or so.

She’s always been unhealthy. When I lived at home her bp would skyrocket and she would read out obscene numbers like 235 over something. Every day after school I took the bus ride home to mentally prepare myself to be the one who found her dead because her heart had exploded. Obviously that didn’t happen, but I guess I came to terms with her death a long time ago. And I guess the same with my grandma.

Oh baby, Your never prepared for that. No matter how much you know It will still come as total shock to you. Your mom sounds depressed . Maybe because of the pain. I know that feeling. I think your dad is going to need you a lot soon.

There’s a DIS out there, too. It was zipped all the way around, but the shell looks crushed. Not sure if she stepped on it, or somehow was setting where it couldn’t push out. I think she has 4 left.

Very cute!! And by the sharp lines, I bet it's a pullet! Possible EE? The comb doesn't look like a single.

Thats because it has a big nose, cant see the comb. LOL
Toms tick bite is raised and red. Like a pimple w/o a head.

That's why I was thinking pea comb/ EE type chick.

Raised and red tick bite sounds normal to me... poor Tom got bit! If it looks like an infection, hot wet washcloth compress over it.

Raised and red tick bite sounds normal to me... poor Tom got bit! If it looks like an infection, hot wet washcloth compress over it.

Is that normal ? Good to hear . Poor guy, bugs seem to like all that sugar flowing through his blood .

I just got up and into the tub. Not much ambition.
My Granny had Alzheimer's and broke her hip. She didn't last long after that.

My aunt and uncle built a “grandma house” right behind theirs. So Donny lived there with my uncle's mom (they called her Dah), but Dah passed a few months ago. They have day and night sitters. There’s a care facility in town that my grandpa used, and his sister. (Great) Aunt Eurcle passed last month. My grandpa died nine years ago last week. My aunt and uncle who built the grandma house are in Mexico for my youngest cousin’s destination wedding tomorrow.
