Granny's gone and done it again

View attachment 1790249 Sketching out the Rooster Roost. Thinking 3 ft square, about 2 ft off the ground. The roof will slant with openings 6 ft at the front and 12ft at the back for ventilation. The roofing also will overhang a wee bit for further element protection.

What do you think? Would 2x4s be sufficient for the “four posts” or should I be safe and go with 4x4?
I bet 2x4s would work, it is a small structure.

Well. I see how this is going to go. Hubs is very unsupportive of it. “I just want to close in the coop but you keep putting off on it!” Yeah cause closing it off will NOT help any of our issues the roof itself needs to be redone and extended (it’s too short so water runs down the cage walls and into the coop) and furthermore closing it off = hotbox the chickens. Ugh. He’s got the smarts in so many ways...but in the ways of battling the elements...

good something all. Busy and beautiful day yesterday. About 70* and sunny OF course today when I was going to try and till some more garden it is raining again. NOT so far gone mentally that I am going to try and till wet garden in the rain with an electric tiller.

Did some clothes shopping, 4 pairs of jeans, 2 shirts , 2 pair of sandals and one of tennis shoes for about 150 bucks done for at least a year or maybe 2.

Lu and pups are doing great. Still some discharge BUT much less.

7 dogs snoring and gentle rain is one trigger to many I am off to the sucker chair
Discharge is normal. Red raspberry leaves help the uterus contract back to normal.

Love when staff are here.
