Granny's gone and done it again

All the bugs are bad this yr. None of the farmers are planting either. Trumps tarrifs I guess. Said hay was hard to find.

Granny if it's Trump's fault for the lack of planting in my area it's because he's got tariffs on DRY WEATHER because all the farmers are having trouble getting into the fields because of them being wet, even the president of the local Farm Bureau of my area has told me that just about 3 hours ago.

Well. Bucky apparently straight up attacked hubs tonight.

...that man is not making it easy.

I guess we’ll see what happens when I let him out/check on him in the morning - and how he behaves tomorrow night. If he goes full jerk, well, I have a garden shed in the chicken coop.

But he’s always tested hubs. Always. He behaves with me. He’s smarter than you’d think...but not smart enough to realize hubs wants him dinner.

Their last day was the 23rd or so. I’m whipped. No sleep last night.

I was going to take Gertrude to the vet to be palpated (ultrasound was $50, palpate was just $25) but ran out of time. DH is leaving tomorrow for his brother's wedding— taking bubba for a whole week in Iowa.
So you and DD get a week of girl time too! Good deal. Hopefully you will go out to the barn one morning and Gertrude will have a couple littles already nursing. A few? 4?

Alley, I never know if your here or not. LOL Robert found a ?nest? attached to the pole barn on the outside made of mud smooth and shaped like a baby rattle. The ball part is attached then the "handle" comes straight down w/ about a half in. opening.
Not a wasp nest, I hope.

looking good Camping.
I just sent Wishing a rash picture of myself. I hope it dont make her sick. Its bad.
Not sick, but very sympathetic. Looks painful. :(

It's a tough year from all the rain. Too bad they can't switch crops... grow water cress or rice or seaweed or something that likes water. Government will pay subsidies to keep them in business, but I know the farmers would rather earn the money and produce a crop.

People are having mass deaths of their chickens to gnats. :hmm Yesterday at 10:42 AMPost #1 of 50
Just finished reading this. Any of you living near wet or flooded areas who normally have springtime gnats or buffalo flies should read this. OP lost 39 of 62 birds in 24 hrs. No warning. Swarms of gnats can kill quickly and there are more than normal this year from all the rain. They can kill other animals too.

It is done. Stuff has been put in there. Working on the chick room. Have Geese and Turkeys for sure showing up tomorrow. The chickens that were ordered do not look like they have shipped as of yet. Which means I may have to find somebody to take me very early in the morning to the PO about 30 minutes away to get the chicks. This could be fun.

I have swallowed a few more than normal this year from all the rain. Hate gnats.

I heard it in the farm report.
