Granny's gone and done it again

Ughhhhhh. Ready to spit. This is the problem with different people doing different aspects of payroll.

So one of our employees got a second garnishment. Ok. Fine. Our other admin enters it and changes his original one so that the “annual cap” is what he has remaining on the original. Ok, fine, that works if we’re in the first payroll of the year but NOT the middle of the year, when he’s already been paying into it.

So I run payroll and look at my reports. Negative amount for garnishments. What the heck? Do some digging figure out who it was, and look at his history and everything to figure out what was going on. Took pulling teeth to get admin to say oh yeah I changed the amount. Reminded her to do it “amount remaining” from now on for larger garnishments/garnishments of this nature. “Oh I didn’t know that’s what it did!”

....I wonder how many garnishments over the year have been messed up this way.

Call up our software people (thank goodness for unlimited phone help!) and they talk me through how to undo and reissue this guy’s check. Luckily not too hard but still. Frustrating.

And boss son is still wandering around wearing the dust mask. Shake my head.

One of many tug o' war games!

The rain is gone for the next 3 days ! I cant believe it. I might get to mow. Now the new complaint, its gonna be 90 degrees and thats gonna tear me up unless I can get at it early enough. If you were my neighbor what time would that be ?
Maybe if they see you out struggling at 6am they will come help you!

AND now for the bad/rotten news. Pics are of Star. :barnie:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit
So sorry about Star. :( Glad the calf survived.

Early on, I remember you were pulling noxious weeds from the pasture. None have returned, I hope.

NOT as bloated as she was , Calf was born on Memorial day. Star passed the afterbirth and 19 did as well this afternoon I got to seen the dangling ball of fluid hanging for awhile
Pieces can still get left behind and cause a problem. That wasn't what did her in if the calf is a month old.
How old was Star?

Well it seems to work well in the main coop. I put trim around the edges.
You can spray permethrin before you lay down the lino. Let is dry. Will work for a long time. Not worth it if you don't have red mite troubles.

My 90 Y/O father would vehemently disagree with you. Just because you are old doesn't give you the right to be rude.
Well, if I was 90, I'd give your father a good ole what for!
It's not about being rude, it's about speaking the truth.

dr said Tom more then likely has prostrate cancer and gave him a med that Tom has already been on for yrs. Waiting for a call back.
SS sent me a nasty letter saying I had missed their appt. and they are giving me one more chance but I better call them .:smack
Tell SS you are going to sue them for bullying a disabled person! Or... maybe you should be nice so your paperwork doesn't get "lost." I bet she doesn't know that not only are you disabled, you are the primary carer for 2 other disabled people. :hmm Keep calling them... so much that you become annoying and they will remember that you called. :D

Glad Tom got some pretty fish! Hope the procedure went well today, but I bet he's going to be sore. They are looking to see if his bone marrow is still making rbc's.
