Went to a swap today. Got sunburnt pretty good. Sold some chicks and a pair of birds. Also had some lady tell me $5 was too much for a silkie chick. That was my dropped price

I hope you told her just how much goes into raising a bird . Or smacked her. either works

Had to go get a new water pump. Dh put one in in dec,& it quit yesterday. Ace replaced it no cost. Animals need fresh water now, dh is out in the heat installing it. Bought cracked corn at tsc to ferment for the chickens, hay & layer pellets also. Taco Bell chalupa $5 box. Yum

Well water ? I just finished making bacon hotdogs.

I looked her straight in the face and told her (in a not so nice voice accompanied by look from hell) that Rural king had silkie chicks for $5 also and you have to buy at least 6! And that my birds are not hatchery birds. She walked off.

Then I seen where she bought some 5 week old birds for $8 each.

Good for you Alley. Peeps are not aware of everything that goes into hatching even one chick.. They think the just appear like Magic.

same with the lionheads. Lots of people interested until they asked a price. These are not 5 or 10 dollar rabbits.

How much are babies ? I never priced rabbits. Lion head is the only one I would THINK I would recognize.

I price them at 40 but I paid 60 each for the parents.
