Went to a swap today. Got sunburnt pretty good. Sold some chicks and a pair of birds. Also had some lady tell me $5 was too much for a silkie chick. That was my dropped price

I thought you said you weren't going to get sunburned again!

Very pleased with what I sold today, down to the last Speckled Sussex. But no one wants to pay $35 for a CCL pullet. I told people, if you can find a hatchery with that breed chicks ,they are at least $35 each.

MPC shows female CCL chicks at $23.50. Not including shipping of course and I don't know what their minimum order is. I expect if you only wanted a couple, 2 at $35 would be a fair bit cheaper than shipped hatchery birds.

Finally know what the baby in the barn is. Now to figure out how it happened. LOL Its a Jub. It hatched in the serama coop. My jubs are in the other coop. Think I got this figured out. Jubs and maybe a couple white egg layers in the big coop and a trio of polish in the serama coop so that would be 6 chickens + what ever white egg layer I have.

I moved the Mille Fleur D'uccle chicks out into their own brooder. Looks like 4 cockerels and 2 pullets. Bah humbug. The mottled cochins look more hopeful.
