I thought I had that gravel rinsed well too but you seen the filter. Its just because I have gone through all this trouble to know everything is safe I guess.

That was not all that dirty, and even natural streams have some dirt.

Just got back from Turkey Town, they all got fresh water, and watermelon. Even the dogs are eating watermelon! There are clouds around and thunder. The temperature dropped to 103° , but I think Mother Nature is just teasing us.
Once I cool off , I will go do the barnyard birds. I saved 1/4 of the watermelon for them. I thought my blue mottled cochin was broody, but I went to check on her and she was off the nest. So I took the infertile eggs. If she starts up again I have plenty of eggs she can sit on.
I found a 10x10x6 dog kennel cheap but i can't get it with the cap on the truck. And i can't take the cap off by myself. Oh well, i have one i need to assemble as it is.

Ugh, I was watering and one of the Valley Quail got out. Luckily I was able to herd it into the barn and close the doors. Then caught it.

I was out watering the Barnyard ( do you see a pattern here?), and a lady showed up wanting to buy some chickens. She is a repeat Tolbunt buyer, a very nice lady. So she went home with 3 more chickens. Saw a fat garter snake out by the barn, hope it is mice keeping him fat.

Since I am talking to myself today, i will mention that i am having spaghetti and meatballs, with garlic toast as soon as i get the spaghetti cooked. My fresh homemade meatballs, love those things.
