Granny's gone and done it again

Camping, The reason I asked that is because I came from a broken home. I guess I always wondered if dads did that kind of stuff w/ their little girls.

We usually split into boy stuff and girl stuff, and some things are family activities. Bubba enjoys ball games and monster truck rallies, but DD can’t handle those because of her sensitivity to sound. So we go shopping or to the kid “spa.” Then some things we do together- movies, zoo, library, etc.

I know some dads who do everything with their girls, like paint fingernails and go to dances. But that’s not really DH’s jam. I like hiking/hunting, but I don’t enjoy sports.

I had a brother in law that did all those things w/ his girls. Wasnt surprising to see him show up w/ pink fingernails. LOL I remember going a couple places w/ my dad but nothing girly. I think he took us to a carnival once where I meet the bearded lady and once in a canoe where we almost tipped (on purpose) and none of us knew how to swim. I was really small. Oh My step father took us to disney world once and bush gardens. I think thats about it. camping when my legs were in casts. Not a very fun childhood I guess.

That is not good, he is looking at an early death and all the bad stuff that happens before.
It breaks my heart. He has so many strikes against him already. I cant make him do right. He is an independent man in the eyes of the law. NP asked me why was I buying pop for him? I said Im not, his check is feeding me. He does most the shopping because I am not able. He spends his money. Yet somehow she tries to make it my fault. If you ask me I think he has type 1 and its the adrenal gland just like me. It is hereditary.

Sounds fine to me. :hugs I’ve never been to Disney. We went hunting a lot, and always stopped for monuments and historical markers. Dad is high-functioning autistic (diagnosed last year) and his degree is in history, so looking back I’m not surprised. We went to lots to of museums and aquariums. We went to Six Flags once, and Silver Dollar City. Mom doesn’t do rides. Once I turned about 15 I went on lots roller coasters every chance I got. Now they make me sick. :(

I was just a low-key kid. Always under a tree with my nose stuck in a book or completely lost in my own head. In Louisiana I had one good friend and I practically lived at her place. In Kentucky I never went anywhere, but had a few friends who would come over. My extra curriculars were newspaper (two years) and marching band (one year). My bro was the social one, going out to parties and doing things with friends, but only after I went to college.

Is that right ? I think I remember you saying something about you suspected he was ? That was a long while back. I know its at your expense but It tickles me to hear he has that diagnoses because he is a man that married and raised children. That gives me hope for my son. I feel like my job could be done if he could find someone to love. He is also very good w/ history BTW. What part of KY did you live in?
