He is huge, Why do cats like to lay in tubs/showers? Nugget does that a lot.
Speaking of, Tom didnt want corned beef yesterday so I made him something else and he took it to his room to eat. Robert and I sat at the table and he was done eating Nugget was in the 3rd chair waiting for a plate so Robert gave him his with a little mashed taters and couple slivers of meat. Nugget would reach his paw out and get a bit of food then lick it off . I asked Robert, Did you train him to do that ? He said, No, he is being rude not using his fork ! I never seen a cat sit at the table and eat off a plate like that before. It was cute but if Tom had seen it he would of been mad I am guessing.

Well, happy days are here again. 2 yrs since the big fire and our 8 day evacuation. To celebrate, Mother Nature is again gifting northern CA mountain regions major high winds and extremely dry conditions starting Wed morning. To prevent downed power lines from igniting another massive fire, the power company is planning to stop electric service to about 600,000 customers, starting 5am Wed through Thurs afternoon. 36 hrs doesn't seem too bad, right? Sadly, we are being warned to prepare for 7 days without power! All lines have to be checked and repaired before power can be restored. Hopefully the winds won't be too severe and not cause damage. Hopefully the weather system will break up and the winds won't come and we keep out power on. But I have to prepare... how I will be spending today. Watering everything, filling tubs and containers, and figuring out how to save our freezer full of food. Luckily my sis is not affected so I can shove some stuff in her fridge.

So, if you don't hear from me in the next week, you'll know why. Back to pioneer days for us! Time to get everything all ready. Luckily I did all the laundry yesterday, so even though we can't shower, we will have clean clothes!

that is the most tupid thing I have ever heard of them doing. What about people on oxygen? If their power lines are a problem they should fix them. Im sorry I hope you get to keep it. Chickens water ?
