Granny's gone and done it again

No, Thats what I used to do with them. I want to put them in a fish tank. The only other thing they mention using is Indian almond leaves from India.
There are tannins in acorns, and leaves I believe.

started raining last night and then snow and blizzard conditions this morning.

BUT I made it to Mass. got 3 loads of laundry done, sorted and found "homes" fridges for all the carrots and onions, sorted matters sent some out for the chickens and froze a gallon bag full. Cleaned and picked pin feathers on the 6 ducks and got them bagged and in the freezer.

Rod bought in another bucket of eggs so got them cleaned and boxed. and we visited for a bit.

Phone hasn't rang all day.

Fish site just called them botanicals
BRrr Twist.

there used to be an additive you could just pour/drip into your tank. Blackwater Tonic it was called.

Do you have extra calcium in the tanks with the snails granny ?? Might help with shell growth /thickness.

Im not super hyped about actually turning the water as I am making it look more natural. A little tannin yes but more for the scattered forest floor look.

"o" Make sure to boil your "found/local" leaves first.

Check out Rachel OLeary she does lots of botanicals.
