You'll never guess what's going to happen on Wed! What do you think? I can't decide whether to laugh or cry. Did you make your guess? Ready? The power is going out AGAIN. For 2 days. Not laughing, not crying because sadly getting used to it, but working up to a good scream.

That has got to get old!

Well. We lost my Easter egger pullet to the neighbors dogs. She hopped the fence. Not sure where. Poor girl. Neighbors watched hubs search for her with a flashlight and said nothing. I’m really over these jerks. I’m not going to hold you liable for my chicken hopping the fence into your yard but it would have been nice if they owned up to it. So hubs, bless his heart, clipped crazy white chicken (leghorn) and the Wyandotte’s wings himself. He figured Brahma and Australorp were probably ok and not about to hop an eight foot fence.
I was late....was visiting a friend at the hospital - one of my gym girls had a heart attack - had a 98% blockage in one of her arteries (not the widowmaker thank gosh) so had a stent ? Put in. 35% blockage in another artery but the doctors said lifestyle change should help that one (someone else pointed out insurance wouldn’t cover for that low of blockage which is why the docs didn’t do anything)

so yeah. I’m visiting with my friend and getting texts of one of the chickens is missing it’s this one dogs got her. Sigh. What a flippin day.

just makes me so frustrated. And one of the huge reasons why I didn’t want a common fence with neighbor and the chickens. Sigh.

I wonder. Could a drone carry an air horn? Could a drone carry an air horn right outside the neighbor’s bedroom window (he confessed to me when he was griping about a previous neighbor’s rooster that their room faces the road. Not the backyard) and set it off when their dogs start barking at night?

Oh the temptation is strong friends. The temptation is very freaking strong.

I would also use such a device for the neighbors who’s little crap dogs are in the road often.

Well guess what. They were here from 2-6:30 said it was fixed. Stay on about an hour then went down. I can’t beleive it.

My dogs get my chickens when they fly up on the fence and then fly down into the wrong yard. If I am out there I can call them off but if I am not they usually don’t make it. I never knew chickens flew around so much.

sigh. If they were flying into the peach run, I’d have absolutely zero concern. If anything I’d feel less stressed cause I feel peach would protect them. Or at least her presence may deter hawks. I haven’t seen her as active as she was four years ago on predator detail. (She used to notice if raptors were around and she’d go hang out closer to chickens. It was unreal)

but. These dogs are untrained heathens.
