sigh. Sorry for the gloomy skies y’all. Going through some fun stuff. Found out yesterday that my mom got the “final call” from her youngest sister - who’s been battling cancer for quite a while now. They’re doing the medically assisted death today. My father chose to go curling last night leaving my mom by herself with all this. Sibling and I are both extremely disappointed to say the least with him. So of course I had to be the one to call and read him the riot act. “She’s fine! She doesn’t want me looming” I told him he needs to look after his wife and I’m sure his curling buddies will understand there’s been a death in the family. it’s beer league not the freakin tournament of hearts.

And then work. Oh work. So this pain in my bum prevailing wage job which has been ruining my payroll life for the past few weeks continues to do so. We actually had an apprentice show up. The union sent NO PAPERWORK. he apparently was upset he didn’t get paid that day - so assistant soops tells me this and so I go trying to track down who to call at the union and what the deal is. Get kicked around/leave messages for multiple people and told to call multiple others before I finally figure it out - meanwhile he calls and I say look. Haven’t heard boo from the union working on it I’ll let you know. So finally get a hold get his rate etc and he calls again. Tell him he can pick up his check from the office between noon and five - I need copies of his I’d. Give me time to figure it out with our accounting software and run the check and wait to hear back from the controller (I made the executive decision and ran the check anyway otherwise we’d have to pay him a full day every day he waited - though she did get back to me and told me to do it)

so this happens while I’m trying to get normal payroll entered. Now I’m having lunch before I run actual payroll - boss lady saw the light when we mentioned the certified payroll reporting I need to do plus short week next week means I’d have to come in Friday to finish it if she ran payroll later Thursday)

oh yeah. And hubs continues to be a donkey. Oi.

Sorry about your aunt, Pro. As for the rest maybe someday you can get a handle on it all or kick it to the curb.

Hi all :frow
I am wore out. My schedule has been swapped around due to a few things going on with others. I was only supposed to work Monday, Friday and Sunday. But now I work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, long day Saturday(11:30-7) and Sunday at the restaurant. I gave up the school after 3 straight weeks. I'm mentally drained.
Sounds tough. I know from my siblings, both single-no-kids, that they are always taken advantage of when it comes to scheduling at work. Apparently their free time is considered less important than people with spouses and offspring. It's BS. They shouldn't be responsible for the life choices of others by constantly being expected to fill in last minute and covering the less desirable shifts at work.
Take care of yourself, Alley. :hugs Don't let them take advantage.

Took like 2 seconds!
Wow, you are part of the 1%! :D

Wishing, you’ll like this. A few weeks ago I watched the Twilight movies when they came on tv. I was obsessed when the books were out (blaming it on pregnancy hormones) even though it was all a huge trainwreck. So, I watched them.

Then I started getting articles on fb about Twilight. “Top ten funny behind the scenes twilight moments” or whatever. I thought it was just that phenomenon, like you shop for a red car and suddenly see them everywhere. But bubba recorded the movies when he saw them on, so I watched them again.

And now I’m getting ads on fb again.
 oh, that's creepy

Big brother is watching everything!
It's Big Zuckerburg. Don't trust that guy. Don't trust any of them!!

loved the twilight movies.
Gnight all. sweet dreams
Are you a vampire or werewolf fan?

I see a catfish
I see a frog someone shot with a bb gun. :hmm

Even our bleeding heart liberal governor is mad.
If by mad you mean INSANE...

typing on this little phone is the pits.
Get a stylus pen. Makes it much easier!
