Granny's gone and done it again

Makes sense penguin.

hugs to you. Hubs is fortnighting it again. Sigh. He’s under orders for feeding tomorrow - peach and her two different supplements and two different pain pills. Oi. Druggy dog. Got the skinny on some of the dispensaries that have “vet” products too so...will check those out soonish. No point in doing it too soon though - I want to be sure to be around when she starts on it. So probably Thursday/Friday/ish.

There are holistic vets... eastern medicine, acupuncture, etc. I know it sounds weird, but an old dog began walking again after a acupuncture treatments. Better than drugs.

If you tell her to slow down or you can get her to text you she is better. Her speech is part of her syndrome and she gets embarrassed when people don't understand her the first time.
She has to repeat tons for me since I have hearing loss and with her speech issues reading her lips sucks. BTW mouthing words does not work for lip readers. You actually have to be talking it helps.
THats too bad about your chickens. There are some good cross over breeds

which the great northern or navy ?? I do NOT like beans :sick other then green beans that is. Seems to be a texture thing for me.
And DD1 is the exact opposite. She won't touch a green bean in any form but will eat other beans.

Husband is seriously sucking up lately.
What did he do now? ;)

This is the list of breeds we are trying to decide: Australorp, Barnevelder
Brahma, Buckeye, Chantecler, Cornish (the breed not the cross), Delaware,
Dominique, Dorking, Faverolles, Java, Jersey Giant, Langshan, Orpington, Sussex
Turken (Naked Neck), Wyandotte
I don't think any of those will be bigger than a small Cornish Cross. Maybe a Jersey Giant but the reason they didn't catch on as meat birds is how long it takes them to mature, same as most any other egg laying breed. I've not raised meat birds so I don't know if the other meat bird breeds like Rangers get big faster than an egg laying breed.

Save me. Please save me. I have the girl child here for the next few months. The boys have to get a trip out on the truck and then she will get to go back out.
My laptop died over the summer. I am stuck on a netbook until my husband can replace it. This thing is slow and can not do a 1/5th of what I normally am doing online any day of the week.

On a more chicken note we got Cornish Crosses. 10 weeks and they are small. Like not enough meat on one to be a real meal. Not happy with them and will not get them again. Now Bob ( the husband) has me searching for a breed we can use for meat and eggs. I got a list and he and I are going over it to see what breed or breeds will work for us.

This is like the 10 billionth time Bob has decided to go in another direction. I just want to get things settled and done. Oh and he is now wanting to move to North Dakota or Montana. If he ever makes up his mind and sticks to it I will probably keel over from shock. lol

Got to get the kids to bed. Miss you all. Hugs and Cookies

I vote North Dakota. LOL nice weather for keeping yaks up here (just saying)

Morning all, I swear, I think Tom does this stuff on purpose. This am I slipped my nighty on because for the first time in a while I thought I would just bum around for a while. Im thinking Does Nancy come today? No thats tomorrow so im good. I am letting the dogs out and Tom said, The food is here. He flings open the front door and there I stand at the back in the sun and the man walks in. Walks straight to me.
