Granny's gone and done it again

Well here’s my Brahma and leghorn for size comparisons. Five months? Ish?

I don't think any of those will be bigger than a small Cornish Cross. Maybe a Jersey Giant but the reason they didn't catch on as meat birds is how long it takes them to mature, same as most any other egg-laying breed. I've not raised meat birds so I don't know if the other meat bird breeds like Rangers get big faster than an egg-laying breed.

We have no problem with growing out longer. Also, none of them will eat the amount of feed the CCs are eating now. Down to 15 and we are going through 15 lbs of feed for them a day. I have 10 JG in a bin that are about the same age and they are not going through even 5 lbs of feed a day. So that is playing in on the price. The CC should be 5 lb by now or very close and these are barely 3 lbs with hardly any meat.
We know the ones listed will be longer-term, but they will also be able to provide us with eggs for eating and hatching.
