Now I’m worried about my old black hen

Most chickens dont breed true to their color unless you have been breeding them for many years and know exactly what you started with. Take the mottled for instance.. She is a product of 2 different colors and then you throw in the dad, a 3rd color they will and do breed all sorts of different colors so we go by what they look like .

Mines the middle the 1 and 3 are the same bit on accident
