I can't focus long enough to keep up reading all your posts, so overlook me if I ask something that's been answered. Finally went to goat pen 3 days ago. Penny hasn't had a Doeling yet, hint, hint. All my animals are happy & healthy even though I haven't fed them for a month. Dd, gd & dds boyfriend have been awesome. Still can't hear outta right ear & still dizzy. Got new meds today, hope they work. Took Walmart 2 days to get them.

So I found a third dead chick today...I had enough of that. Set up the brooder and took the remaining chicks away from the broodies. Boy were they mad! Of course the chick that died was a mottled cochin bantam.

How are the chicks dying? Are the broodies doing it?

I don't think so. One had poopy butt, one escaped from the run, and the other one was just dead.

That's very sad. So, you are going to raise them inside now? Probably a good idea, but it's so nice to have the hens do it.
