I have planted it deeply, glued it and rubber banded it to rocks and wood and it refuses to stay put. It blocks the light or tangles itself up around the other plants.

Ah, IIRC, when I used to buy them they had little lead straps around the bottom to weigh them down. I suppose they don't make those lead things any more. I like the look but I don't think they ever root.

these were strips of bendable lead weights. you folded them over the plant. Wonder how big of fishing weights they sell that are those bite on kind...
