Granny's gone and done it again

No, sadly. It’s velvet at the end of its life. The cat scratched up the arms a bit, and the color has faded in places. The worst trait is a broken board across the front— that was broken when it was given to me, but it’s gotten worse with wear. If I had a spare room I could work on it, but that’s not an option right now.

It served me well for many years. I’m looking at sofas in the same style, though. I like the squareness of it.

Have you looked at new sofas ? They are crap.

Yes, it's old fashioned looking... in a classic way.
My dad still has the 2 dark green velvet love seats that moved out here with us 50 yrs ago. They have held up really well, but no one has sat on them for about 20 yrs, so who knows!
