Granny's gone and done it again

Well, Im reading what your saying on some sites but SS themself said I never will. Even after 65
Social Security isn't Medicare and Medicare isn't Social Security. You get Medicare at 65 no matter what.

Why, you can get it at 62
But you get more if you wait until 65.
And even more if you wait until 70. The mathematical breakeven between 62 and 70 is age 80 or 81. If you die before that, go back and start collecting at 62. If you die after that, go back and wait until 70 ;)

It is all a big guessing game. If you can afford to ask the question "should I take it at 62" then you don't NEED it at 62. You could start then and invest it and at some point end up with more than if you had waited until 70. Presumably the adder is 8% per year. Given the current interest rates, you aren't going to gain anything. That leaves the stock market or buying rental real estate or something. In 14 states SS is taxable (Vermont is one of them), it is on a sliding scale. I don't know the exact numbers but at some income level 80% of one's SS is taxed as ordinary income. Somehow that just doesn't seem right since both you and your employers were taxed on that money already.

I was gonna use a jigsaw ?
Be careful with plexiglass and jig saws. Plexi tends to crack. Put masking tape on both sides of where you are going to cut and MAKE SURE the plexi is held down tight. If it starts hopping up and down it is very likely to crack. And use a metal cutting blade if you have one because the teeth are much finer.

Granny I’m doing another mask tonight. Can’t smile in them.

I have a job interview in the morning.
