Welll. I started cleaning out the coop. Then crazy white chicken got offended by that. She was peering in the nesting boxes so gave that a break. Let the pellets soak up a little bit more water I guess. Sigh.

Got groceries done, still gotta do tractor supply. No bitties, feed store’s order got canceled. It’ll happen again at some point. Sigh.

82.5° is too hot to be out in the sun for me. I get choked up and start coughing.
I did cut the boards for the box to run through the fence so it makes a tunnel for the chickens to go from the coop to the run. I may have to use a different color.

Geez, it is $2.29 here and that is down $0.30 from a few weeks ago. We are always getting screwed on the price of gas compared to the national average. Nothing like in California though.


Looks pretty good other than the revolting orange "cheese stuff".


You can, it comes under the "health" clause. Starving to death isn't good for your health.


Touch nothing, stop for nothing, don't talk to anyone. Have them tie the kid to a fence then back away. We'd hate for you to get the nasty virus.

When we lived in Canada , it only cost $20 to have an animal put down. They shouldn't charge an office visit.

By law they need to examine the animal if they haven’t seen it in the last year. State law here.

But I did pick up my new doe. She's kinda chocolate colored but underneath shes a different color. I cant describe.
The white is out of Molly and the gold and white is the bottle baby.

Yeah, what I thought was "processed cheese food product" but Prostar posted later that it was real cheddar (though I still find orange cheddar gross looking, cheese is not that color naturally).

I got my second shingles shot. That pharmacist was no good at shots! It still hurts. Ice is next up for it.

I've only had the first one so far. Didn't hurt going in but man was my arm sore for DAYS.

Rod came in today and brought eggs and took the rifle out.
Her back legs were totally gone. Fell 5 times last night just trying to pee.

OMG we just passed China and Italy for the top spot in number of confirmed cases.

That is because China stomped on it fast and even having seen the speed the virus spread our leaders told us it was no big deal, business as usual. By the time they started taking it seriously it was too late, the horse, heck the entire herd, has escaped the barn.

I was thinking about trying white rocks this year. Any one know if the produce as well as the barred type ???

I have both and both are good producers. Sadly a fox got through the fence last May and took Yuki. She was a WR and my best producer.

White chickens are easy prey.

ALL chickens are easy prey. I've had pretty much every color and have lost to predators everything but black ... so far. Reddish brown EE? Fox. Nicely camouflaged Partridge Chantecler? Fox. White Rock? Fox. Both Golden Campines - fox suspected. Cubalayas? Racoon, would have gotten my Black Australorp recovering in the broody buster if I didn't happen by at the right time.
