It says "supports healthy plant growth" in the description. I guess you can overdo the amount of light, just like sun through the window, so there is a blue light switch if the tank starts turning green. Turn it off at night? Fish don't have eyelids... how will they sleep?

I read where it said that. Ya, I turn it off when I go to bed. Lot of people make claims ya know ? I think I read 5000kelvins is good for plants. This one says it has 10,000K Now, for the price I paid for it its really hard for me to believe its good for plants because the ones that I know to be good are pretty costly.

But both of us together probably dont know half as much as your DH. Just sayin... I dont know what the difference is between full spectrum and the blue/white . I mean I know it has red and greens along w/ the white and blue but WHY? Is that what would be best to have and what about LED vs florescent ?
