So I had to look it up and now probably got flagged by FBI for my search!
There are many types of poppy. Opium Poppy is Papaver Somniferum. It has huge seed pods and the seeds are used in baking. Opium is made from the white juice that oozes from a cut seed pods. Now ya know.

I always wondered, why do they put poppy seeds in muffins ? They have no flavor. For looks ?

They have flavor. I think so anyway.

Had a hard time falling to sleep. I finished my book and took a pill. I could go back to sleep easily.

Our apple trees are flowering. Pears and plums done already. Strawberries ripening.
