Granny's gone and done it again

All of the predictions were far higher than the real numbers across the country.
That is what social distancing does. People not breathing on others don't infect them.

At the Health and Rehab place in Burlington they tested everyone, staff and patients after several people died. 57% of the positives showed no symptoms at all. Our county had a big jump in positive tests when Covid hit the correctional center last week. They tested everyone - 335 people. 14% of them were positive but only 1.5% of those showed symptoms.

I guess that means for a lot of people it isn't a big problem ... but for the others, life or death in many cases. We REALLY need to test everyone AND have a test for antibodies.

They are still trying to attract new employees here. Don't have enough people to get the job done. Maybe I should get a job! Rural route could be nice and peaceful.
Or not! A friend of mine in WI tried that for a short time, she wasn't sure if she was working for the US Postal Service or UPS! In a lot of areas rural carriers have to use personal vehicles, driving mail is hard on them.

Black ones are more aggressive and taking over Turkey V territory. I can't remember where they are from originally, but don't think they were introduced or anything... just proving to be a dominant species. That doesn't mean they are better, though.
I've heard they are a really big problem in the south.

They use their own cars here. I think Wishing would rather enjoy just riding out in the country and getting paid for it.
