Granny's gone and done it again

I need to make banana bread! What’s your recipe?
It's my brother's. :D I like it dense and hearty, not like cake.
This is a very easy and forgiving recipe. You melt the butter and stir in everything by hand. Change it to suit your tastes or to what you have available. No whole wheat flour? No problem. Got 4 brown bananas to use? Add them all! Just keep the amounts of butter, eggs, flour, and baking soda steady and it will come out edible!

🍌🍌🍌
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar (calls for white, I use brown)
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
3 ripe bananas, mashed (riper the better)
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour (I use whole wheat for both)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon (I use more like a Tbsp!)
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/3 cup hot water
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (I use at least 1 cup!)

🥄🥄🥄
Mix dry ingredients in small bowl... flour, salt, baking soda, and spices
Grease and lightly flour a loaf pan. (I use parchment paper on the bottom)
Preheat oven to 350

Melt the butter in large microwaveable mixing bowl (don't over heat it).
Blend in sugar.
Add beaten eggs, mashed bananas, vanilla. Mix well.
Stir in dry ingredients alternately with the hot water. (You may not need all the water, especially if your bananas are very ripe. Want a thick batter that is still somewhat pourable.)
Stir in walnuts.
Pour into prepared loaf pan.
Bake at 350 for 50-60 mins. (Mine usually takes longer. Do the toothpick check.)
Cool on a rack

That’s fantastic. I had to run out for milk this morning and the lady at DG said they’re getting cleaning supplies tomorrow. I’m going to go try for some, and I’ll pick up walnuts. Should be delicious!
Cleaning supplies and walnuts? I don't think it will be safe to eat!

I think that was the beginning of "I'm never buying that product". The current commercials are equally gross.

No way I would buy a shirt w/o making sure it feels good and a bag of candy has to "Feel right" Before I would buy it
I agree about the shirt but a bag of candy is a bag of candy, it doesn't feel right or wrong .... Unless it is a box of bagged Andes baking chips. Well at least when DD1's friend gave them to her they were probably chips (Andes mint chunks I think) in the bags. She received them in Boston then drove to VA. Stayed there a week. Based on the slabs of candy in the bags now I suspect it got really hot in the car.

DW needs one of those!!!!! It would cut her 35 mile 50 minute commute to 12 miles and probably 10 minutes! And no worrying about hitting ice on the road either.
