I got a remote reading reptile thermostat for my first batch of chicks, plug the light into that and forget about it. Since then I've been using the Mama Heating Pad brooding method, no heat lamp, no 24 hour light.


I didn't know it was Alley's BDay, must be a "secret among friends" since she's not listed on "todays birthdays".


We were having problems with the internet dropping out a lot every morning (at least) for about a week. Finally called the phone company (DSL) and they did something today not on our property. Hopefully it was fixed. You might want to call your internet provider.
I'm really sorry you are still suffering all those maladies!

One of my young Cream Legbar pullets is missing tonight. They were out free ranging and they are generally good about getting back in the coop. I went to shut them up and I have not found her. Looked on top of the runs, but so far no luck. Hoping she will be safe wherever she is. I am going out as soon as I cool off to look some more.

Tired. Not enough hours in the day sort of tired but my back finally stopped hurting. Only 4 days of agony this go around! Thank goodness for tramadol, Voltaren and Solonpas 4% lidocaine rub is all I can say. If I could get the Voltaren and Solonpas by the vat I would and just soak in the stuff.

Pretty good. I sold a pair of chicks today. Looking forward to the swap. Except the work part. Working on making one of the quail duplexes taller. I need to have a place to put some of these growing birds.
Trying to decrease my sugar intake. It's not easy, but I really need to lose this big gut.
