Granny's gone and done it again

Howdy everyone! :frow

Lost another chicken today... I think the 4th one this year! It was a Serama hen. She and the rooster have had sneezing virus something or other. I knew she wasn't going to make it, poor little thing just faded away. Rooster seems to be doing better and the other 2 older hens are healthy as can be.
Stumpy always stayed near the rooster. Maybe that's why the others didn't get sick.

Sorry Wishing, that stinks.

It does, but for once it wasn't the favorite. Now I feel guilty.

Please don't blame yourself. I had to put a hen down today due to a rooster injury so I know how you feel. She was a sweetie. I found her sitting or rather draped over a roost bar. She couldn't stand, couldn't walk. I put her in a nest box and went back 3 hours later to check on her. She had lost control of her bowels and still couldn't stand. I hated it and yep, feel guilty but you can't watch them 24/7. I was able to discern which two roosters could have injured her and removed them from the coop. They won't be going back.

So sorry for your loss. :hugs

I did my research. Yall know I did. I even took notes. Plecos are safe w/ shrimp. they only eat algae. except for one. This one ! Of course. Guess where he is is right now? shrimp tank of course.
I got some more red cherry shrimp including a male.
I got 6 corys 3 albino and 3 pepper I think because No one has the same kind I want. 3 nerite snails. Paid for 4 but one must of jumped out of the shell :hmm 4 baby albino bristle nosed pleco babies. scattered through out the tanks. 7 rasboras and 7 white cloud minnows..

Thanks. That must have been tough. I actually didn't cull mine, she passed on her own. She'd been up and around but didn't eat yesterday, so I figured it was coming. I'm a huge wimp about killing them. My hubs had to help me with one 2 weeks ago. She was broody and hiding and had an old prolapse with fly strike when we found her. It was horrible, but made the choice much easier.
