Blue, a while back that woman flew from Ca. all the way here to be with me because Tom was having surgery out of town and I was scared sick. They ended up Not doing it and she and I had a grand ol time . eating out every day. She even took my autistic son for one day ! She is very special to me.

Just got Tom settled. They relaxed him then did a block for his foot. Said he heard them hitting it w/ a hammer.
Dr said this is his best chance to heal IF he is going to. I said you mean when not if.

Can you keep his blood sugar stable?

Seems to me he is a prime candidate for testing. You shouldn't have to ask, they should just test because of his age.

They should test everyone going into that hospital. Hospitals here test everyone before short stay surgery.

I know one thing, They will bring oxygen out here before I will let him be thrown in some hospital all lined up on life support.

They won’t bring a ventilator out to your house.

Ummmmmmm....... questionable. My numbers have never been over 110, usually more like 103. That was 35 lbs. ago. Now I'm usually 88, 89. This is fasting, a.m. But my dr told me I was "glucose intolerant" at one point but never would actually use the word diabetic though I tried to pin him down. Put me on Metformin but I never could remember to take it. I have a family history. So... I just don't know. Maybe I was or was at risk, but have reversed it through diet and weight loss. Shrug. This is probably TMI, lol.

Are insulin resistant? That’s goes on for years until your blood sugar goes up.

Hows your DH ? Did he get his surgery ?

Because you cant diagnose diabetes w/ a one time sugar check.
