you had but to ask

Here we go.

1 cup sugar
3 TABLEspoons corn strach
1/2 TEAspoon cinnamon or a little more.
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup sour cream either the homemade or that fancy stuff aka "cultured"
1 egg
3 cups chopped rhubarb EITHER fresh or frozen
1 UNbaked 9 inch pie shell

combine sugar, cornstarch, spices then beat in egg and sour cream. Gently fold in cut/chopped rhubarb and pour into pie shell.


Topping (I suggest making this before the filling above)
1/2 cup oats either quick or regular
1/3 cup packed brown sugar ( I used light)
1/2 TEAspoon grated zest either orange or lemon
1/3 cup cold butter

combine oats , flour , brown sugar , and zest, CUT in cold butter until crumbly. This gets sprinkled over the filling

Bake at 400* for 15 minutes then REDUCE heat to 350* for another 35 to 40 minutes OR until light brown (I missed this part on my first pie) Cool until stiff or set.

What is Scooter? Finding nasty things to roll in was Sammy's specialty. That's the little Sheltie we got for The Kid last fall after his sister left home (she's back). So we could not just turn the dog out to do his doggy business. He had to go out on leash. Pain in the keister. Especially since former owners, instead of teaching him to come when called, taught him to ZOOM and keep away! Run, run, don't get caught! He is the fastest thing in fur I have ever seen. Worse pain! But now we have got him so he comes, yay, and we can turn him out, more yay! Still have a long way to go, but no longer thinking of re-homing him. The Kid actually likes him and takes pretty good care of him.

Scooter is some sort of terrier/poodle mix, 19lbs. He just showed up one day 10 yrs ago and we kept him. Named himself, as Scooter was the only name he responded to after a week of everyone trying. Now he is my little shadow since my big dog died a few years ago. He rarely rolls in drek, so it must have been something special!

First and last long haired dog EVER!

Well, Lifes a beach and its raining. I have UTI again Very uncomfortable. Robert is have crohns related pain , found a brand stinking new fish tank for $35.00 that has everything w/ it.. The filter alone is worth that. I cant go get it .

Where is the tank? Can your Nancy go pick it up for you?

Idk, I am not diabetic so no meter. My BP is likely ok, though I forgot my pills when i was out of town so i know it was high then.

Good morning, all. I vote for mornings that start between 9 and 10 a.m. You bigfoot ladies, how tall are you? I have a smallish foot but I'm five foot nothin'. Used to be a size six but I gained weight and my foot is broad so now I'm in a seven. Hard to find a comfy shoe so I wear a sandal with socks unless chickening, when I wear a boot.

Same problem, different dimensions. 5'9" and always wore a size 9. Now I'm a little shorter, a little wider, and I look for size 11, since 10 1/2 is very rare and I don't like my toes touching the end of the shoe. Not even a little bit!

I woke Robert up to go shopping. Hate to leave Tom but for my own sanity I must. I broke down and did some stuff in the torture chamber and he wouldnt touch it. Bet he gets hungry by the time we come home.
